1 year old!!

We now have a 1 year old living with us. This is really hard for me to believe that Easton is already 1. So much has happened in this past year and it has gone by so fast. If you have children you know that every day is a blessing. They teach us new things about ourselves every day. Easton has taught us how much we can actually love someone. Not that Keith and I don't love each other, but it is a totally different love. As parents, you will do anything for your child. I can't imagine my life, as chaotic as it is, without Easton in it.

On Saturday we had a costume party for Easton. It was so much fun. Everybody was dressed up, even the great grandparents. We had a feast for everyone to eat. The house was decked out in spiders and pumpkins. When it was time to open gifts, Easton just wanted to paper. Once I got the gift out, depending on if it was a toy or clothes, he would want whatever I had in my hands.

Easton had his own little cake. At first he didn't know what to do with it. Once I put some icing in his mouth he started to dig in. He loved it. I had to take the cake away from him, because he was eating so much of it. I think that he ended up eating about 1/4 of his cake. After his cake, he went straight to he bathtub. He had so much icing on him.

We love you Easton Ryan!! We are looking forward to many more costume parties with you.

Toddler Stage!!!

Easton is now officially a toddler, even though he walks like a monkey. He walks everywhere with his arms straight up in the air like someone is holding his hands. It is the cutest and funniest thing I have seen in a while. He has been taking a few steps here and there, but this past weekend he finally decided that he would just walk. Here are a couple of videos of him walking. There are also a few pictures of him at the St. Andrew's football game.

He will be graduating in 2029 hints the 29

We finally finished decorating Easton's room. This is the Ranger/Josh Hamilton wall.

What a weekend!!

We had an awesome weekend. We finally told Tiffany that we wanted her to be Easton's Godmother. We got her a charm from James Avery a while ago the said Godmother on it. She was so excited when we told her. This was the easiest decision that we could have made. Tiffany has been there for me for years and has just fit in with Keith and I so well. When she found out that I was pregnant, I think that she nearly had a heart attack. She was so excited that she was going to get to spoil Easton. Tiffany hosted a shower for me and also painted Easton's nursery in our old house. Like I said. It was a no brainer to have Tiffany as Easton's Godmother. Here they are right before Tiff had to leave on Sunday.
Easton is almost as big as Tiff in this picture. I know that he's a big kid but come on. I hope that everyone else had as good of weekend as we did.

growing up so fast.

Easton is growing up way too fast. It is hard for me to believe that I am planning his 1st birthday party. My parents bought him this push walker and he absolutely loves it. I thought that it was so funny that he knew what to do with it when he saw it.

Easton has a new trick. Whenever his toys play music, he sings with them. I think that it embarrasses him though. He sings very soft. Keith and I can hardly hear him. Here is a video of him singing. Make sure that you turn the sound up all the way so you can hear it.

Easton also does not like the feel of the grass on his legs, so when he crawls he bear crawls.

Playtime

Easton loves playing in his new home. We had to put shoes on him because the tile was rubbing his feet raw.

I know that is has been forever since I have blogged about anything. So much has gone on and we have been so busy. Our little man is growing way too fast. He is already sitting up and bathing in the big boy tub. He absolutely loves it. From the moment I put him in his little duck he starts splashing. I can't give him any toys to play with until I am done bathing him. If I mess up and give him toys, it is just a fight the whole time.

MaPa weekend

My parents, Ma and Pa, came to visit Easton this weekend. I say visit Easton because Keith and I really don't count anymore. Easton had so much fun with them. He showed them how he can walk around in his walker and get whatever he wants. He normally sits in his walker and screams and talks to whoever will listen. He is getting to the point now where he wants to play constantly. That is fine with me. It means that I can get more done around the house.

Ma and Pa got to see Easton act like a little bird. Whenever I feed him his oatmeal, I can't even get the spoon back in the bowl before his mouth is open looking for food. Yes, I have a little porker on my hands. The kid loves to eat. We started mixing green beans into his oatmeal on Saturday. By Sunday, he was very fussy all day. This continued to all day Tuesday. Keith and I thought that maybe the green beans weren't settling right or something so we switched to squash. Thank goodness that worked. He has not been fussy since then.

Easton is starting to sit up on his own. Sometimes he will bite the dust, but for the most part he is pretty good at sitting up. He did hit his face pretty good when my parents were here. He didn't cry very long afterwards. I think that it scared him more than anything.
