About Me

The Skates Family: Keith and I met the spring semester of our freshman year at Hardin-Simmons. We actually met playing a pick up basketball game. After that, Keith asked me if I wanted to go to Kinkos and Whataburger with him. Of course I said yes and this turned in to our first date. Pretty romantic huh? The summer of 2004 we went on a cruise with his whole family. He proposed to me one night after we had snorkled all day. We were in our pajamas and he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. The first thing that I said was, "Did you ask my dad?" After I found out if he had permission, I said yes. We got married on June 3, 2006 at Logsdon Chapel. Personally, I thought our wedding was awesome. On October 31,2010, we welcomed a third member to our family. A little boy named Easton Ryan Skates changed our lives forever.
